Problem
The Customer Care team had a hard time gathering information about students’ purchase and enrollment history.
Customer Care: The team could only find student records through course rosters and reports. Searching for a student by name, email, or ID was not an option.
Business: Slow response rate gives the company a poor perception of product quality. Team members had to spend extra time looking up students and reaching out to other teams to gather the most up-to-date information, leading to a longer response time for student outreach.
Solution
A database of student profiles that gives admins a full picture of the student’s academic journey and goals at Outlier.
Full history
Admins can jump to the detailed breakdown of enrollment and purchase records. Although we provide data on each record, these two sections are still a filtered view of the full table from the database.
For course attempts records, we included a direct link to the cohort progress table to check for grades and overall progress. For the purchase history, users can expand each row to reveal the metadata.
